BALLET TALES
Through the integration of writing and movement activities, students explore dance as a form of communication. This lively program sheds light on ballet technique, vocabulary, history, and major themes in masterworks from NYCB’s repertory. Progress is showcased through individual and collaborative artwork, reflection, discussion and written reviews. Ballet Tales facilitates a greater understanding of how storytelling through dance can transcend the components of text, movement, and music, establishing a more comprehensive means of communication.
